The Heart Behind Every Stitch
Chilly Day Quilting is the brainchild of Tarra Berres, a dedicated mother of three young men. With her sons now off to college, Tarra has turned more of her time toward her lifelong passion for quilting — a creative outlet she's chosen to share with the world.
She knows firsthand how much time, love, and effort goes into crafting a quilt top. That's why she treats every project that comes through her studio door with the same care she'd give her own work.
Her brand new studio in Chaseburg, WI is open and ready to bring your quilts to life.

Before You order
Quilt Requirements
Please review these requirements before sending your quilt to ensure the best results.
Batting
You're welcome to bring your own batting or purchase from our inventory. We stock Warm and Natural 100% cotton batting in many sizes. If bringing your own, it must be at least 4 inches larger than the quilt top on all sides.
Backing
We don't keep backing fabric in stock, so you'll need to bring your own. We can order fabric for you if you have a color and pattern in mind, though this may affect turnaround time. Backing must be at least 6 inches larger on each side.
Binding
We don't stock binding fabric. If you'd like us to handle the binding, simply include extra fabric with your quilt when you send or drop it off.
Shipping
Ship your quilt top via any mail carrier to our studio address. Please pack everything in a weatherproof plastic bag to protect your materials. Local customers enjoy free pickup.
